Many employees took summer vacation during the Obon holiday period.
How did you spend your summer vacation?
Every year during the Obon period, I attend a reunion with my college circle friends.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, it was held online, but this year, about 20 members of all ages gathered.
At the Imanishi Shoin (Nara City: Important Cultural Property), we were specially treated to some Japanese sake called “Harushika,” and everyone enjoyed it very much.
Refreshment: Responding to Change
Some of the alumni association members are over 60 years old, and there are members who cannot attend for various reasons.
My classmate, who always served as the organizer, has not been able to attend for the past two years, which makes me feel sad.
On the other hand, it was very valuable to spend time with friends with whom I could talk about events from decades ago as if they had happened yesterday, and I was able to refresh both my mind and body.
I believe that this summer vacation also provided our group employees with an opportunity to recharge your batteries and meet new people, allowing you to rethink their perspectives.
When you repeat the same actions and thoughts every day, it could become difficult to respond to changes.
I believe that taking advantage of such vacation opportunities and actively challenging new things will change your way of thinking and your results.
There is only one month left until the end of the first half of the 2025 fiscal year.
As we head into the second half of the year, let's readjust our mindset and plans in line with the changes and move forward without being bound by past concepts!
